Ten Winnie the Pooh Quotes That Bring Me Right Back To My Homeschooling Days
Who doesn’t love a little Pooh in their life? Those playful characters from the Hundred Acre Wood certainly found their way into our home for a long time. We read the books, watched the movies, purchased the famous Bounce Around Tigger (more than once), and visited them in Disneyworld.
Now with grandchildren, the silly old bear is back in my life. I have found that his words of wisdom are much more enjoyable, and here are ten of my favorites.
- “There’s no difference between falling a thousand feet to the jagged rocks below and tumbling out of bed.”
- “If possible, try to find a way to come downstairs that doesn’t involve going bump, bump, bump, on the back of your head.”
- “Rivers know this: There is no hurry. We shall get there someday.”
- “A day without laughter is wasted.”
- “They’re funny things, accidents. You never have them till you’re having them.”
- “Owl looked at him, and wondered whether to push him off the tree; but, feeling that he could always do it afterward, he tried once more to find out what they were talking about.”
- “It is more fun to talk with someone who doesn’t use long difficult words but rather short, easy words like, ‘What about lunch’?”
- “If the person you are talking to doesn’t appear to be listening, be patient. It may simply be that he has a small piece of fluff in his ear.”
- “One of the advantages of being disorganized is that one is always having surprising discoveries.”
- “Home is the comfiest place to be.”
