I don’t think I have ever seen a little boy enter Target without hopping over one of those big red balls. I’m not sure what the draw is, but those little guys just can’t resist. I grew up in a family of girls, so raising all boys was a real eye-opener. This is a list of just a few of my favorite things about raising boys.
- They forgive quickly.
- As tough as they seem, their hearts are tender.
- They smell good even when they stink.
- They protect instinctively. Even each other when the situation calls for it.
- They can turn anything into an adventure.
- They have a unique sense of humor.
- They kill spiders, even if they are a little afraid.
- They try. Anything.
- They love physical contact, both slugging and hugging.
- Loud sounds of any kind are sure to produce a smile.
- They are always hungry, so as they get older, they will eat almost anything.
Being a boy mom has been the greatest adventure of my life.
